What We Do
The Jefferson Parish Schools food services department is responsible for preparing and serving all meals offered to students and staff throughout the district. Breakfast and lunch are offered in all schools. Selected schools participate in an afternoon snack program. Food services also offers a variety of catering services to all schools and departments.

Programs & Services
Students are offered a variety of healthy meals daily. Cycle menus are planned for three age groups with targeted calorie and sodium levels and an emphasis on the use of whole grains, fruits and vegetables. Modified menus for students with dietary restrictions are also available. Contact Jamie Hooks, LDN, RD at 504-349-7768 for more information.
Breakfast and lunch are offered daily at every school. Snack programs are offered in select locations. Students approved for reduced price meals are charged $0.30 for breakfast and $0.40 for lunch at all grade levels. Students paying full price are charged $1.00 for breakfast and $1.75 for lunch. Adult meals and second meals for students throughout the district are charged $2.00 for breakfast and $4.00 for lunch.
Parents are encouraged to pre-pay for their meals by using MyPaymentsPlus. The website also allows parents to check student purchases and monitor meal account balances. For more information, go to www.mypaymentsplus.com or call 877-237-0946.
Free/Reduced Meal Program
Jefferson Parish Schools participates in the USDA Free/Reduced Price Meal Program. Jefferson Parish Schools is using an online free and reduced meals application program for all schools during the 2019-20 school year. This system offers an efficient and economical way for parents to submit free and reduced meals applications and start receiving benefits faster. Parents can access the application by clicking on this link using computers at home, the library, or the school district. Simple to-use wizards will walk you through each field.
If you have a student enrolled in one of the schools listed below, you will not need to apply for meal benefits for that child since breakfast and lunch will be offered at no charge to all students. These schools are participating the USDA Community Eligibility Provision program during the 2019-20 school year:
Airline, Alexander, Audubon, Benson, Birney, Bissonet, Boudreaux, Bridgedale, Bunche, Butler, Chateau, Cherbonnier, Clancy, Collins, George Cox, Dolhonde, Douglass, Ellender, Ellis, Estelle, Gilbert, Grand Isle, Green Park, Greenlawn, Gretna Academy, Gretna Middle, Harahan, Mildred Harris, Hart, Hazel Park, Hearst, Janet, Jefferson, Johnson Gretna, Keller, Kerner, Laureate, Lincoln, Marrero Middle, Martyn, Matas, McDonogh #26, Metairie Academy, Pitre, Pittman, Riviere, Ruppel, Schneckenburger, Solis, St. Pierre, St. Ville, Terrytown, Thibodeaux, Truman, Washington, Westbank Community, Woodland West, Woodmere, Woods, Worley.
Students enrolled at all other Jefferson Parish schools who are not directly certified for free meals will need to complete a new application for the 2019-20 school year. Assistance in completing applications is available by calling the Food Services help line at 504-349-7687.
