9th Grade High School Choice
In February 2020, JP Schools implemented the 9th Grade High School Choice Program (9th Grade HSCP) to allow current JP Schools 8th Grade students to apply for a Jefferson Parish high school outside of their Attendance Zone for the upcoming school year. 9th Grade HSCP does not remove attendance and transportation zone schools. All students will have an enrollment seat in their traditional attendance zone school.
*Only families wishing to attend a school OUTSIDE of their Attendance Zone School need to apply for 9th Grade High School Choice.
TRANSPORTATION TO THE SCHOOL OF CHOICE IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PARENT.
LHSAA ELIGIBILITY: Students receiving approval for a 9th Grade High School Choice transfer are subject to LHSAA eligibility regulations.
APPLICATION WINDOW OPEN – March 1, 2024, through March 29, 2024, closes at 5 pm

Important Dates:-
January 8, 2024 - February 23, 2024: In-Person High School Informational Night
Current Jefferson Parish School System 8th Grade Parents and Students are invited to tour the campus and learn more about each School and the various Programs and Extracurricular Activities offered. School Administrators, Teachers, Students, and Parents will be on hand to share information and answer any questions. -
March 1, 2024: 9th Grade School Choice Application opens

March 29, 2024: 9th Grade School Choice Application closes at 5 pm

April 19, 2024: Application Decisions sent to Families

April 29, 2024: Offered Seat Acceptance /Decline Response Due
