Greetings Audubon Families,
It is my honor and pleasure to welcome all returning and new families, whether you are joining us from another school in the district or have relocated from another city, state or country. We are excited to share with you all that Audubon has to offer and believe you will soon feel as we do, that Audubon is a special place for all children. Our educators, support staff, families and other education partners are ready to welcome you into the Audubon family.
Our theme for this year is “Going for the GOAL!” We will continue to strive for academic excellence and social emotional well-being for our students while looking through a lens of equity and inclusion. With that being said, the Audubon staff is excited to kick off this year the “Cardi J” way!
Our teachers and support staff are eager to meet their new students and begin this year’s journey with them. We have been working to finalize classes and schedules, engage in professional learning opportunities, and update our instructional models, class routines, and expectations, all with the goal of fostering academic success and a true sense of connectedness and belonging for our students. Our primary goal is to ensure student proficiency in all core academic subjects, so we will refine our implementation of Tier I instruction, analyze data, conduct observations, and review classwork to guide instruction and daily interventions.
Partnering with families is crucial to promote a healthy transition to school both socially and emotionally. We recognize that students may be feeling anxious with the start of a new school year and we will continue to place a strong emphasis on social emotional learning while focusing on building classroom communities. We encourage families to stay connected and informed by following our school and district website, our school’s social media pages and announcements sent through the Parent Portal.
We thank you for trusting us with educating your child!Cardi “J” Fast Facts:
